I decided I needed a new headshot so I thought I’d give one of the AI headshot companies a go….sooooo the results were not quite what I was expecting. Everyone knows the importance of a headshot, its a personal brand emblem, conveying professionalism and credibility.
Below is a screenshot of the AI-generated photos. The AI-composed images have with warm smiles, bright eyes, and friendly body language, but overall, the results are uncanny and pretty terrible. Not to mention that the images just do not look like me. I look VERY different in real life. I look younger than I have in a long time which may be flattering to some using the product, but doesn’t work for me.
I’m optimistic about the potential of AI for graphics and in the marketing field. As algorithms develop, the accuracy of AI-generated images will undoubtedly improve. For now, though, it seems this service isn’t quite ready for prime time. Here’s the one I decided to use, this is the real me…no touchups.
